During his 25 years as a freelance professional photographer, Andrew Heading has covered
events ranging from the Olympic Games to Lake District fell-running. He's been the official photographer to Lausanne-based European Athletics since 1995, and
his work has been published in numerous national newspapers and magazines.
Prior to becoming a photographer, he worked as a
newspaper and press agency journalist, writing
news and feature articles for a wide range of publications.
In addition to his European Athletic Association work, he
is the organiser of an annual 100km mountain ultra-marathon
in Transylvania, and is a regular competitor in long-distance
running and cycling events around the world.
